The Seed Production Division (SPD) organised the inauguration ceremony for the newly elected Senior Staff Association Executives at the Head Office of SPD in Accra.
The elected executives were officially sworn into office by the Senior Staff Chairman of COCOBOD, who charged them to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and strong leadership in the discharge of their duties.
The event was well attended by Senior Staff Chairmen from all subsidiaries and divisions of COCOBOD, as well as representatives from the Ladies’ Club of the cocoa industry, reflecting strong institutional unity and collaboration.
Address by Newly Elected Chairman
The newly elected Chairman expressed deep gratitude to members for the trust reposed in him and his team, describing his election as a call to service rather than a position of authority.
He emphasized that the core focus of his administration will be staff welfare, fairness, dignity at work, and equal opportunity for all members regardless of rank or location.
He further outlined plans to collaborate with service providers to secure essential goods at subsidized prices and flexible payment terms to ease the financial burden on members amid current industry challenges.
The Chairman also called for unity, professionalism, and objective engagement among members, urging them to avoid divisive commentary and instead support constructive solutions for the industry.
“Together, we can build an association founded on equity, unity, progress, and accountability.”
Management congratulated the newly elected executives and encouraged them to work collaboratively in advancing the vision and objectives of the Senior Staff Association.
The SPD remains committed to strengthening institutional governance, promoting staff welfare, and enhancing effective collaboration across all divisions and subsidiaries of COCOBOD.
